Cricketers defeat Footballers

The Cricketers bounced back from their defeat in 2016 to register their 4th win in the series of matches and now trail 7-4.

After 2 consecutive losses to the footballers it was vital that the cricketers under the captaincy of Graeme Swann registered a win. This was certainly 3^rd time lucky for Swanny, the winning total of 44 points was comprehensive, Cricketers 740 points Footballers 696 points and non playing Captain Alan Shearer threatened changes to his squad especially as he will be back for 2018 as playing captain. Iain Dowie retained his crown as leading celebrity with an amazing score of 85 points from Captain Swann on 80 points, a handicap review may be required.

The new courses went down a treat with the group and we are pleased to announce that we will be returning to Quinta do Lago North and South courses for 2018 and we are also in the process of potentially returning to San Lorenzo as changes have been made within the Club and they are very keen to have our event back at their prestigious course.

As the cricketers hold the bragging rights for this year the message to Alan Shearer from Graeme Swann is “ See you next year boys”
