Darren Gough retained the Captaincy and led the Cricketers to a much needed win to make the series 5-3 in favour of the Footballers.

The Cricketers racked up a huge 740 points to the Footballers 698 which meant a resounding margin of 42 points.

Steve Harmison lead the way with a magnificent score of 42 Points. Alan Shearer had made 2 changes this year to the footballer’s squad by bringing in 2 big number 9s in Iain Dowie and Dean Ashton, both contributed adequately but could not stop Alans third defeat in the series.
