Darren Gough took over the reigns as Captain from Gordon Greenidge for the Cricketers but even the most positive of cricketer couldn’t stop Alan Shearers footballers from achieving yet another comprehensive victory.

The event was slightly dampened by a downpour on the final day at San Lorenzo which certainly hindered the cricketers more than the footballers as both scores from Vale do Lobo counted and the footballers were 12 points to the good.

Even though rain stopped play spirts were high as the free bar gave the opportunity as stories from both Cricketers and Footballers took centre stage and a good time was had by all and only stopped when the beer ran out.
